Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains how Pixel-Ponies handles refunds and the terms of sale for our paid products. It applies to every purchase you make on Pixel-Ponies and forms part of our Terms of Service. By making a purchase you confirm that you have read and agree to this policy.

Pixel-Ponies is provided by JL Studio LLC d/b/a Pixel-Ponies, a North Carolina limited liability company (“we,” “us,” or “our”). All transactions are processed by Stripe; we do not store your full payment-card details.

1. What we sell

Pixel-Ponies sells digital goods and services. You are buying a license to use these products on Pixel-Ponies; you are not buying any files, source code, or transferable ownership. The categories are:

  • Pro subscription: a recurring monthly or yearly subscription that unlocks Pro features on your account.
  • Image Add-On subscription: a recurring monthly or yearly subscription that unlocks additional uploaded-image slots per horse.
  • Page sections: one-time purchases that unlock the full version of a specific profile or horse page section for your account.
  • Theme packs: one-time purchases that unlock a theme pack for your account.
  • Section credits: credits that can be redeemed for any single page section purchase of the matching type.

2. Sales are generally final

Because our products are digital and delivered instantly to your account, all sales are generally final. We do not offer refunds simply because you changed your mind, no longer want the product, or were able to use it for any length of time.

3. When we will issue a refund

We will refund a purchase, on request, when any of the following apply:

  • A platform error on our side caused an unintended or duplicate charge.
  • You were charged for a product you never received because of a technical failure on our side, and we cannot grant the product within a reasonable time.
  • You were charged a second subscription fee because of a system glitch (for example, two active subscriptions for the same plan on the same account).
  • Any other situation where a refund is required by applicable law, including your statutory rights as a consumer in your jurisdiction.

4. How to request a refund

Email support@pixel-ponies.com from the address on your account. Include the date of the charge, the product you were charged for, and a short description of what went wrong. We aim to respond within 30 days. We may need additional information to verify your account before issuing a refund.

5. Cancellation, plan changes, and termination

You can cancel an active Pro or Image Add-On subscription at any time from your Account Settings. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not refund the current billing period; you keep the subscription's benefits until the end of the period you have already paid for. Auto-renewal is the default for both monthly and yearly plans; you are responsible for cancelling before the next renewal date if you do not want to renew.

You can also switch between monthly and annual billing at any time from your Account Settings. A plan change takes effect at your next renewal: you keep your current plan until then, you are not charged or credited at the time of the change, and the new rate applies from your next renewal onward.

If we suspend or terminate your account for violating our Terms of Service, any active Pro or Image Add-On subscription is cancelled immediately, and the unused portion of your current billing period is not refunded, except where a refund is required by applicable law.

If a renewal fails because your payment method was declined, your subscription enters a short grace period during which we will retry. If retries continue to fail, the subscription lapses and you lose the associated benefits until you re-subscribe.

6. One-time purchases (page sections, theme packs, credits)

One-time purchases are not refundable except as described in section 3 above. Once a page section or theme pack is unlocked on your account, you can use it indefinitely subject to our Terms of Service. Section credits do not expire and remain on your account until you redeem them.

7. Chargebacks and disputes

Please contact us at support@pixel-ponies.com before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card provider. We will work with you in good faith to resolve any billing issue. A chargeback opened without contacting us first may result in your account being suspended pending review, and may affect your ability to make future purchases.

8. Taxes

Prices displayed on Pixel-Ponies are exclusive of any sales tax, VAT, or similar tax, unless required to be displayed inclusively by applicable law. Where we are required to collect tax, it is shown and added at checkout. You are responsible for any other taxes that apply to your use of our services.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes apply to purchases made after the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We will not retroactively change the refund terms of purchases you have already made.
